If you ask someone what’s their dream vacation you will most likely hear Tahiti, Bora Bora and Moorea are on their list. The islands of French Polynesia have long been known for their beauty both in landscape and the people. Paul Gauguin, the French artist, captured the beauty of the island in his work. Marlon Brando, the actor who played in the movie Mutiny on the Bounty loved the area so much he fell in love with a Tahitian woman and moved to the area and started a family. He couldn’t leave the beautiful islands. And, when you visit, you’ll feel the same way.
December of 2017, Annita had a chance to visit the Society and Cook Islands in Tahiti. Beautiful! She said you need to be a poet to describe the true beauty of the lagoons, rugged mountains shooting up from the sea and the deep blue sea is definitely something special you’ll find in the South Pacific. It’s beautiful.
Our show described several of the islands she had a chance to visit. Take a listen to our show and also enjoy our Quarter Miles segment all about West Virginia.
